Why Can't I Let Go of This?
When you're on your healing journey
and find an extra sticky energy or feeling:
Why can't I let go of this?
When you really want to let go of a symptom, an energy, a program, or a problem, there's probably something you don't like about it. Maybe it feels bad, maybe it means something wrong about you.
Can you acknowledge that it's not avoidable?
Any feeling that comes up deserves to be felt!
And it deserves to be felt without you drawing any conclusions about what it is, where it came from, what it means, or what it will mean.
It's just a feeling—it's just an energy. And you can be present with it!
And so anywhere that you go into old patterns of: "I should have done better. I should have known better" —that's just self-abuse. And it's also not true.
There is no 'I should have known better, I should have done better,' because energetically, there is no cause and effect—except for where you believed in it and locked it into place.
So go ahead and unravel all of that, breathe into it, and let go of 'you should have known better.'
It's also important to remember that there's nothing that you have to do—at any point, ever. You don't have to let this go. You don't have to feel this. You don't have to change it. You're already perfect.
Similarly, when you experience a symptom—such as coughing, scratchiness, sneezing, migraine-iness— what if that so-called symptom is just an energy, and what if it has no origin? Any instinct you might have to draw conclusions about it, to make it about something—what if it actually has no connection to any other so-called symptoms?
It is just a feeling. It exists in a vacuum. So anytime anything like that comes up, and your mind immediately tries to draw conclusions about it - can you just take a deep breath, and thank your mind for all of its hard work. Throw it a bone. Tell it that it's right! That it figured it out! Give your mind a little pat on the head. Love your mind (with sweetness, not condescension). And then just let go of anywhere that you're attaching to or drawing conclusions. What if none of it is true?
And take a deep breath. Start to let all of the ideas that you have formed about sickness, disease, pain, and suffering... Let those start to disintegrate, to unravel, to undo.
None of what you believed or what you were told was true.
This is only a feeling.
This alone, in this present moment, is all that there is,
and you get to feel this right now!
So if you have a scratchy throat. Be there for that scratchy throat in the moment that it happens. If you feel worried or anxious, be with that worry or anxiety without avoiding it and without making it mean that you're worried about something. It's just an energy!
It doesn't mean anything else.
